The result is a warm and smooth cheese, the smokey flavours off-setting the sharp notes typical of a farmhouse Cheshire. It retains the classic crumbly Cheshire texture and is perfect for cooking with. As with all of Appleby’s award-winning cheeses, their Coloured Cheshire is made with 100% unpasteurised fresh milk straight from the family’s Hawkstone Abbey Farm in Shropshire.
